Work has been extremely stressful lately and my personal life (as if I have one), has suffered a bit as a result. Occasionally I get home from work and frankly just don’t feel like working out.

Well, save the pity party for latter because I’m still pumped from my workout. Sometimes you just have to remind yourself that no matter how miserable you might feel after a difficult day, the benefit that you will get from lifting will go a long way in reducing the stress. There are always going to be other people, things, events, programs, blah, blah, blah, clamoring for your attention, and the vast majority of them can wait for the short period of time that it will take for you to get in at least a modest workout. Don’t kid yourself, most of the time that you skip a workout, it’s because you lack the passion, not the time.
